KANSAS CITY, Missouri (May 19, 2022) — Timothy Monsees, senior shareholder and co-founder of Monsees & Mayer, was announced as the winner of the 2022 Dean of the Trial Bar Award at the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s (KCMBA) 49th Annual Bench-Bar & Boardroom Conference.
Created in 1985, and formerly called Litigator Emeritus, the Dean of the Trial Bar Award is presented to one or more attorneys who have a substantial and distinguished trial career. The award acknowledges service of current KCMBA members whose litigation skill and professional demeanor have been consistently recognized as exemplary by their peers. This year, Monsees was recognized alongside Hon. Jane Pansing Brown and Daphne R. Halderman.

Throughout 40 years of practice, Monsees has successfully led and tried nearly 100 cases in more than 20 states, notably obtaining millions in recovery and results for his clients.
Whether holding manufacturers of defective products accountable or pursuing landmark class-action litigation against one of America’s oldest gun manufacturers, he has gone toe-to-toe against large corporations and their insurers on behalf his clients during the entirety of his career.
