Tim is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he attended both undergraduate and law school. A Kansas City, Missouri native, he returned home to practice law upon graduating law school in 1981, where he graduated in the top 10% of his law school class and was awarded the distinction of “Order of the Coif.” In 2011, Tim was honored to become a member, by invitation, to the American Board of Trial Advocates, the most prestigious organization of trial attorneys in the United States. In 2021, Tim was recognized by Missouri Lawyer’s Media, the publisher of the primary legal publication for Missouri attorneys, as an “Icon” of the profession, recognizing his career achievements in the practice of law. A year later, Tim was similarly honored by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association as a “Dean of the Trial Bar.”
