Noel, MO (March 31, 2020) – A man and his young grandchild were both hospitalized with devastating injuries after a head-on collision Sunday morning. At around 8:20 a.m., on March 29, authorities responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident just west of Noel.

Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that a 17-year-old female was traveling along State Highway 90 in a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe when she crossed over the centerline. The Chevrolet collided head-on with a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country, which was occupied by 53-year-old Brothen Bima and his five-year-old grandson.

Bima and his grandson were both seriously injured in this collision. Both victims were transported to Freeman West of Joplin by ambulance.

At this time, police are investigating.
