Mt Pleasant Township, MO (June 3, 2020) – At approximately 11:30 a.m., on June 2, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Route D.
Reports show that a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by 37-year-old Jesus A Jimenez-Fuentes, was attempting to turn into a private driveway on Highway D just past 177th Street when his vehicle collided with a 2004 Chevrolet driven by 23-year-old Jordan Bell.
The impact of the collision sent the Chevrolet off the side of the road.
Jesus Jimenez-Fuentes suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to St Joseph Hospital. A passenger in the vehicle, who was identified as 63-year-old Jeffery Smith, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Overland Park Regional Hospital for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
