Monsees & Mayer is excited and proud to announce our two newest shareholders: Bobby Thrasher and Reed Martens. This is a change we welcome and look forward to a bright future for our firm.
“In 40 years of practice, I have had the pleasure of working with and against many fine attorneys, young and old. Bobby and Reed are among the very best.” said Senior Shareholder Tim Monsees. “I take personal pride and ownership in the quality of the legal services our firm offers our clients. Bobby and Reed will continue the legacy of satisfied clients Monsees & Mayer have had the honor of serving in our 26 years of existence. I am honored to share the future of Monsees & Mayer with these two fine attorneys and men.”
Bobby started his legal career with Monsees & Mayer as a law clerk and later returned as an associate. Immediately, Bobby began his track record of success for our personal injury clients. Focusing on serious injury and wrongful death cases, Bobby has also found success in fighting for survivors of sexual abuse. Bobby looks to continue the firm’s growth and to increase its capacity to help clients to best of his ability. Bobby is an active member of the legal community. He is intimately involved as a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Missouri Bar Young Lawyers Section Council, and Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
Reed Martens also started with Monsees and Mayer as a law clerk and later joined as an associate in 2016. Reed is a passionate litigator and welcomes the challenges of injury litigation. He has excelled as lead and co-counsel in a number of jury trials resulting in favorable verdicts for his clients. Reed now devotes the majority of his practice to representing survivors of sexual abuse and individuals injured or killed due to defective consumer and recreational products. Reed is an officer of the Platte County Bar Association and also serves on the New Lawyers Committee for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
Both Bobby and Reed were selected as Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2019 and 2020. This is an honor granted to no more than 2.5% of attorneys across Missouri and Kansas.
Our Managing Shareholder David Mayer on this announcement: “Starting from the days they were law clerks with our firm, Reed and Bobby exhibited the qualities Tim and I were looking for in our next shareholders: compassion for our clients, tireless work ethic, superior legal skills and impeccable integrity in working with clients and other members of our legal profession. They have earned their partnership and we are proud to call them our partners. The future of the firm is in great hands.”
