Liberty Township, MO (January 24, 2020) – A head-on collision took place on Wednesday, January 22nd along Route Y just west of County Road 171.

According to police logs, the incident occurred at about 6:40 a.m. when a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado headed eastbound, driven by 48-year-old Chad Dunkin, veered over the centerline. The brightness of his headlights blinded a 1992 Honda Accord, driven by Sheila Richner, 51, traveling in the opposite direction.

The two vehicles collided forcefully. The incident resulted in a serious head-on collision. Sheila Richner was seriously injured in the accident. Paramedics transported her by ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the crash site.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim, Sheila Richner, and her family at this time. We hope for a full recovery.

Head-On Collisions in Liberty Township

If you or a member of your family has been injured in a head-on collision, it is essential that you get in touch with a Missouri car accident attorney as soon as possible to review your case.

Injuries that are caused by head-on accidents are, regrettably, very serious and usually life-altering. Growing medical expenses and uncooperative insurance carriers will only pile on additional pressure to accident victims and their families who are already having a hard time putting their accident behind them. On top of all this, financial compensation is probably going to be necessary in order to pay for ongoing medical costs, physical therapy, and lost income.

Our Missouri personal injury attorneys understand the legal system, Missouri traffic laws, and how to deal with big insurance companies that would otherwise try to bully you into a smaller settlement.
