Kansas City, MO (April 27, 2020) – A serious motor vehicle accident that occurred  late Saturday evening claimed one victim’s life and left a second person critically injured.

At around 7:30 p.m., on April 25, police in Kansas City were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 3000 block of York Street. 

Reports show that a 68-year-old male pedestrian and a female pedestrian were walking on York Street when a Cadillac sedan came down the westbound lane.

After driving through the intersection of York Street and East 30th Street, the Cadillac struck the male pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle then turned southbound and struck the female pedestrian.

The male victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female victim was seriously injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
