Kansas City, MO (January 18, 2020) – A student from Turner Middle School sustained unspecified injuries when he was hit by a car on Monday, January 13th.
According to preliminary police reports, the 13-year-old boy was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk at Osage Avenue and South 55th Street when he was struck by a car driving southbound along 55th Street.
Paramedics transported the victim to a local trauma center. His injuries were classified as non-life threatening. He is currently still in the hospital in fair condition.
The driver chose not to remain at the scene but was later located and arrested.
