Crooked River Township, MO (March 26, 2020) – A devastating automobile accident on Saturday claimed the life of one Carrollton woman while leaving several other victims with serious injuries.
Just after 9:10 a.m., on March 21, 62-year-old Charles F. Lewis was traveling west along Missouri State Highway 10 in a 2002 Ford F-150 when he was involved in a collision. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and overturned.
Five occupants inside the pickup truck were injured. Lewis was transported via Life Flight Eagle to Research Hospital with serious injuries. A 13-year-old female was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital with serious injuries. Andrew L. Schenck, 37, was transported via Life Flight Eagle to Truman Medical Center with serious injuries.
39-year-old Candace L. Bigby was rushed to North Kansas City Hospital via Ray County EMS. 53-year-old Shelly M. Lewis was transported to Research Hospital via Life Flight Eagle in critical condition. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries after arriving.
