Cameron, MO (May 8, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist sent two victims to a local hospital with injuries.

On May 5, at around 8:45 p.m., The Missouri Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway EE. Reports show that 34-year-old Pride A. Willis was traveling north on Route EE on a 10-speed Murray Bicycle when he was hit by a 1998 Chrysler Sebring.  The vehicle was being driven by 34-year-old Travis L Pyzer.

Mr. Willis was ejected from his bicycle and landed on the side of the highway. Pyzer’s vehicle continued forward before traveling off the east side of the road and crashing into a tree. Pyzer’s vehicle then overturned and came to rest upright before coming to rest in a ditch.

Both Pyzer and Willis were seriously injured in this collision. Both men were transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center via Cameron Ambulance.

At this time, MHP is investigating.

Our thoughts are with both victims and their families at this time.
