Brumley, MO (May 18, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday evening claimed two people’s lives in Brumley.
At around 10:22 p.m., on May 16, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 42. Reports show that 28-year-old John Surface was traveling west along State Highway 42 in a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado when the vehicle collided head-on with a 2003 Ford Explorer, which was driven by 44-year-old Elizabeth Goewey.
Both victims suffered fatal injuries in the collision and were declared deceased at the scene.
At this time, the collision remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
