How long have you worked at Monsees & Mayer? Within the legal profession?
“I started my legal career as a law clerk for Monsees & Mayer in 2010. Upon obtaining my bar license in 2012, I ventured out before coming back in 2015 and officially joining the team.”
What inspired you to pursue a career in the legal industry?
I am naturally a problem solver and I have always had an unwavering desire to help people. Being a lawyer gives me a unique opportunity to do both.
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy learning. Whether it is researching the answer to a question or working on a case, the practice of law is a constant lesson. Our firm is fortunate to specialize in a couple very distinct areas of law and I’ve learned a lot in a short amount of time from some of the top attorneys in their respective fields. There aren’t a lot of other jobs out there that afford you this kind of opportunity and I have gained so much knowledge working here.
If there was one thing you would want clients or future clients to know about the Monsees & Mayer team, what would it be?
We want our clients to know they are more than just a number. Many firms run a volume type of practice, where clients can get lost in the mix. We personally select the cases we work on, and they receive the attention of and dedication from our entire firm. Our clients have direct access to the attorneys supporting their cases, anytime, and our entire team knows our clients by name.
What would you say is the highlight of your career thus far? Highlight of working at Monsees & Mayer? Biggest accomplishment?
In early 2022, we represented a client in a two-week trial in Springfield, Massachusetts. We stood up to a large corporation and held them accountable for their negligence. The jury agreed with our client and found he was not at fault for his injuries. They returned a verdict in his favor, confirming what we and our client believed all along. It was rewarding to see justice after seven long years of litigation. Being part of his journey reminded us why we do what we do.
