Super Lawyers

Timothy Monsees has received the Super Lawyers recognition for nineteen years. Throughout 44 years of practice, he has handled diverse cases in more than 20 states, including dangerous products, hunting, firearm and tree stand injuries, personal injury and recreational accidents. He’s earned numerous accolades throughout his career, most recently honored by Missouri Lawyers Media as a 2021 ICON Award winner and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association as “Dean of the Trial Bar” in 2022.

David Mayer has received the Super Lawyers recognition for 19 years. He has advocated and obtained justice for those who have been sexually abused or harmed by the negligence of others for nearly three decades. Mayer has earned awards and accolades from various organizations such as the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys, where he was named a Top 10% attorney for client satisfaction. He is ranked “The Nations Top 1%” by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel and named to the Best Lawyers in America since 2013. David is dedicated to giving back and volunteers his time for legal aid programs throughout Missouri and Kansas and serves on the board of the UMKC Law Foundation. In 2024, he awarded the Pat Kelly Service Award by the UMKC Law Foundation & Law Alumni Association for his exemplary service to the School of Law.

Rising Stars

Phillip “Reed” Martens has been recognized as a Rising Star for the past six years. Martens has successfully obtained millions by both verdict and settlement for survivors and victims of sexual abuse and those who suffered traumatic injuries. He was named shareholder of the firm in 2021. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence (MOCADSV), as well as the Young Lawyers Committee for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA). He is a past president of the Platte County Bar Association and served on various committees supporting the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA).

Robert “Bobby” Thrasher has been recognized as a Rising Star in Missouri since 2019. He specializes in personal injury and wrongful death litigation, representing clients who have suffered losses due to the negligence or recklessness of others. Throughout his career, Bobby has successfully handled cases involving defective products, motor vehicle accidents, sexual abuse, and premises liability. Bobby became a shareholder in the firm in 2021. He serves on the Board of Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA) and is the President of its Solo Small Firm Section.

Ryan Frazier was first named a Rising Star in 2020. Located at our Springfield, Missouri, office, he is committed to advocating for survivors of sexual abuse, particularly minors who have been harmed while in the care of boarding schools, medical providers, schools, or foster homes. He also represents victims of motor vehicle accidents and other personal injury cases. In 2021, Ryan became a shareholder of the firm. Frazier is actively involved in the community, serving as a board member within organizations including the Ozarks Counseling Center and Encompass Academy, and volunteering with the Child Advocacy Center.

Charles “Chip” Lee has been recognized as a Rising Star in Missouri since 2020. As an integral part of our Springfield office, Chip has dedicated his career to advocating for clients in various legal disputes. He focuses on representing victims and survivors of sexual abuse, as well as handling personal injury cases involving motor vehicle accidents, workplace incidents, and wrongful death claims. Throughout his career, he has successfully obtained millions in settlements for his clients. In 2023, he was named shareholder of the firm. Chip plays an active role in the Springfield community where he dedicates his time and expertise as a board member for the Drew Lewis Foundation.
