A 13-year old girl was sexually assaulted while she attended a youth choir practice at her church in Kansas City, Missouri. The young woman had been brought to the church by her grandmother and mother, who remained in the church sanctuary while she was lured into the church basement for “private” instruction. The youth minister who assaulted her was a convicted sexual predator who had served time, unbeknown to the family, in the state penitentiary, where he had met the church pastor in a spiritual counseling group.
